Manufacturing Process Engineer & Assembler, – Reporting to the Managing Director, UK
We are a long established Electronic Engineering Manufacturer based in Witham, Essex. A high end synchronisation company, manufacturing ultra-precise time and frequency products and solutions for advanced communication and timing systems. We deliver high precision performance and reliability deployed in the harshest of conditions.
We are looking to expand our team with a Manufacturing Process Engineer/Assembler to complement our capability, This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for you to gain hands on experience within this niche industry.
Duties: (to include, but may not be limited to)
- Box Build of electrical and electro-mechanical systems, sub-assemblies, and PCBs.
- Plated Through Hole (PTH) & Surface Mount (SMT) PCA hand assembly.
- Assembly and creation of cable forms, wiring and crimping looms.
- Ability to read, interpret and assemble products from BOMS’s & drawings.
- Attention to detail and work effectively to deadlines.
- Creation of manufacturing assembly instructions to provide a concise, written and photographic step by step assembly to compliment the assembly pack.
- Provide support to the Test Department as required.
- Flexible in approach and prepared to carry out other tasks if necessary.
- Manage/oversee all workshop purchase requests and evaluate problem reports before submission to the R&D department.
Experience required:
- The role would suit a candidate from an electronics/manufacturing background.
- The individual must be organised, well-motivated and a good communicator.
- Capable of working as part of a team both in the UK and to also liaise with our Head Office internationally via electronic video platforms.
- The successful candidate must be hard working with a pro-active attitude towards their work, able to communicate effectively between departments and have the ability to think outside of the box and problem solve.
- Possess a good sense of humor.
- Working in accordance with AS9100 and the Company’s Quality System and ensure procedures are implemented, in particular with regards to build standards and ESD requirements.
Benefits:
- Salary is very competitive for location, and dependent on experience.
- 08:30-16:30, Monday to Friday with flexibility on start time available.
- 23 days’ holiday plus public holidays, rising one day per full year of service to a maximum of 28 days.
- Statutory pension with increased voluntary contributions available.

Regional Sales Manager – Reporting to the Sales Director, UK
We are a long-established Electronic Engineering Manufacturer based in Witham, Essex. We deliver high precision performance and reliability deployed in the harshest of conditions.
We are looking to expand our team with a Regional Sales Manager to complement our capability.
Duties: (to include, but may not be limited to:
- Research, locate, appoint and manage representatives and distributors throughout the designated region including occasional visits to representatives, customers, and exhibitions both in the UK and overseas.
- From receipt of enquiry from either a potential customer or distributor, identify the optimum solution using the Company’s products and prepare quotation or proposal. Follow-up proposal, amending where necessary to reflect any change in technical or commercial circumstances. Provide technical and commercial support to customers and distributors as appropriate.
- Manage the provision of installation, commissioning and training to customers where the need arises.
- Research and identify potential markets and customers for TFS’ products. Make contact with potential customers to identify opportunities for TFS’ products.
- Research potential of TFS’ products into forthcoming projects and liaise with potential bidders and consultants to ensure TFS’ products are designed into project.
- When required, prepare and give technical presentations and training to customers and distributors.
- Undertake site surveys of customer installations when required.
- Provide regular sales forecasts to the Sales Director as required.
- Assist in the smooth and efficient running of the department and the company as a whole.
- Work in accordance with TFS’ Quality Management System to AS9100D/ISO9001.
Experience required:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within an Electronics environment. Experience of computer networks desirable.
- Minimum ONC in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) plus 2 years’ proven experience in a sales related function.
- Computer literacy is essential and knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook desirable.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with peers and work as part of a team.
- The successful applicant must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally as necessary.
- The position will be hybrid based with time split between office and home base, to be discussed.
