SALES ENGINEER
Responsible to the Sales & Marketing Director
JOB SPECIFICATION
DUTIES
- From receipt of enquiry from either a potential customer or distributor, identify the optimum solution using the Company’s products and prepare proposal. Follow-up proposal, amending where necessary to reflect any change in technical or commercial circumstances. Provide technical and commercial support to customers and distributors as appropriate.
Research and identify potential markets and customers for TFS’ products. Make contact with potential customers to identify opportunities for TFS’ products.
Research potential of TFS’ products into forthcoming projects and liaise with potential bidders and consultants to ensure TFS’ products are designed into project.
Liaise with other departments to ensure the selected equipment solution meets the technical requirements of the customer. Ensure customers obtain maximum benefit from the equipment solution when in use.
When required, prepare and give technical presentations and training to customers and distributors.
Liaise with the Marketing Co-Ordinator regarding the specifications for new equipment.
Liaise with the Marketing Co-Ordinator regarding additions or modifications to standard products.
Arrange and undertake visits to customer sites to discuss proposals and opportunities.
Participate in customer visits to TFS’ premises for factory acceptance tests, training and other support issues.
Provide regular sales forecasts to the Sales & Marketing Director as required.
Assist in the smooth and efficient running of the department and the company as a whole.
Work in accordance with TFS’ Quality Management System to ISO9001.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Minimum ONC in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) plus 2 years experience in a sales related function.

Computer literacy is essential and knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook desirable.

Must be able to communicate effectively with peers and work as part of a team.

TEST ENGINEER
JOB SPECIFICATION
DUTIES
- Testing, repair and fault finding of electrical and electro-mechanical system, sub assemblies and PCB’s
-
Provision of support services for the company’s products. This will include emergency and routine maintenance visits to customers sites and the installation of the company’s products
-
Participation in testing and acceptance tests as required
-
Provide assistance with Customer demonstrations and training as required
-
Generation of relevant test specifications, test circuits, equipment and aids
-
Carry out specialist calibration work
-
Completion and maintenance of work records in accordance with the Company’s Quality Management System (ISO9001)
-
Ensure the correct and timely closure of jobs
-
Provide support to the development group as required
-
Some National and International Travel may occasionally be required.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering
- At least 2 years electronics test/support experience
- Working in accordance with ISO9001 and the Company’s Quality System
- The individual must be well motivated and capable of working as part of a team
