The Lightning Protector is fitted in line between the antenna and the Master Clock, and can be easily mounted to an earthed panel. Since the Lightning Protector has almost no attenuation loss it will have no effect on the reception performance of the Master Clock.
Any lighting strikes or EMPs to the antenna are safely discharged to earth via the internal gas capsule of the lightning protector. Replacement Gas Capsules are available from Time & Frequency Solutions and can replaced easily.
