Octal Serial Interface Module with Precision Time Input
The Octal Serial Interface (with Precision Time Input) Module provides a versatile solution to the requirement for multiple serial data outputs, in applications where a serial data input message is used for accurate time synchronisation.
The module provides 7 fully independent serial outputs together with a single independent serial input that has been specifically configured for the receipt of accurate time synchronisation messages. By this means, the module offers a high level of functionality within a single option slot of the chassis.
The Octal Serial (with Precision Time Input) Module provides 7 output channels for time data and status, each of which can be configured to provide an RS232 or RS422 Interface. These outputs are provided via a 62-way density and a half socket. The single serial input can also be configured for RS232 or RS422 standard and it is also provided via the 62-way density and a half socket.
