Synchroniser
Time Synchronisation Software
Synchroniser enables legacy PCs to accurately synchronise to a range of time sources.
It is implemented as stand-alone software, and relies on an accurate time input from the PC serial port. Alternatively it can accompany the TFS ISA M55 card, which is installed within the PC as a time receiver.
Synchroniser allows the PC clock to remain accurate by regularly resetting its clock systems to the time it receives. Without this regular resetting the PC time is usually quite inaccurate and often loses or gains seconds per day.
If this is allowed to happen, time stamping is of reduced value and there is no sure synchronisation of transactions or data logging carried out at different sites.
